Laser Processing Four axis laser processing is available not only for the manufacture of stents. Besides the finest structures in cylindrical surfaces we can also cut extremely thin foils and strips, e.g. platinum-iridium with a thickness of 10 µm. Our speciality is cutting reactive and high-melting materials such as tantalum, niobium and platinum alloys. Steel remains, of course, the principal material for coronary stents.
